Your contracted IT department, including support, security, backups, and planning.

Who needs Managed IT
In most small offices, they delegate it to whoever is best with computers. But it always takes longer than expected, and execution rarely goes as well as hoped. They also don't have good answers about security or backups.
The same problems keep coming back, and workers are getting frustrated. Any of this sound familiar?
- "Haven't we already fixed this?"
- "Can you look at my computer when you get a minute?"
- "Where are our backups?"
- "The insurance form wants to know if we have MFA."
- "Who has the admin password?"
- "Who do we even call about this?"

Preventing problems costs less than fixing them
Instead of waiting for something to break, have someone who's seen it before keep it running. It starts with a free visit.
Ransomware detection and response
If ransomware hits, our 24/7 security team isolates the infected computer from the network to stop it from spreading. We help report it to your insurer, determine how the attacker gained access, patch any security holes, and restore your files from off-site backups.
Insurers are increasingly concerned about security. Your renewal questionnaire probably asks about MFA, security software, tested backups, incident response plans, and security training. We put it all in place for you and help you complete your insurer's security questionnaire.
Unlimited remote support
Remote support during business hours is unlimited, so your staff should never hesitate to ask us for help. If we can't help remotely, we'll fix it on-site at no extra charge during business hours anywhere in our service area.
We are on-call after hours for critical issues only. Other approved after-hours work is billed at $262.50 an hour. We quote new equipment installs, moves, and migrations separately.
Response times
Every request is prioritized by how much it affects your business. Response means we've picked up the issue and started work.

Managed IT questions
Is there a contract?
Yes, the term is 12 months from the start date of your plan, and it renews for another 12 months unless either of us gives 60 days' notice before it ends. We don't charge fees for refusing to renew.
If you cancel early, you must pay for half the remaining term. This includes canceling during onboarding.
Who counts as a user?
Anyone with their own Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace account. We don't count shared mailboxes, service accounts, or former employees' accounts. A shared computer like a front-desk kiosk counts as a single user. We bill a minimum of 5 users.
What does it cost to start?
We charge your first month when you sign up, and your plan starts on the 1st of the next month. After that, you pay in advance on the 1st of each month.
Which Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace plan do we need?
You must have Microsoft 365 Business Premium or Google Workspace Business Plus. We don't pay for these licenses directly.
We require these licenses to take advantage of features like device management. If you have lower licenses, we will switch you over during onboarding. Again, these license costs aren't included in our plan.
What's the difference between pay-as-you-go and Managed IT?
Pay-as-you-go is $175 an hour with no contract, and it's reactive rather than proactive, so we only fix something when you contact us.
Managed IT is $150 per user a month. We handle things proactively, with unlimited support during business hours and on-site visits included in our service.
Is Managed IT cheaper than hiring an IT person?
For most small businesses, yes. A full-time IT support technician earns nearly $62,000 a year (the U.S. median, Bureau of Labor Statistics, May 2025). Our Managed IT plan for a 10-person office is only $1,500 a month, and includes a 24/7 security monitoring and response team.

Do you offer 24/7 support?
For critical issues, yes, you can call us any time. We respond within 30 minutes during business hours and within an hour after hours. If we can't fix it remotely, we come on-site. We also provide 24/7 security monitoring and response included with Managed IT at no additional cost. We handle everyday requests during business hours, 9 AM to 4 PM, Monday to Friday.
Will Managed IT help with our cyber insurance?
Yes, insurers usually ask about MFA, security software, backups, security training, and an incident response plan. Our Managed IT plan includes all of them. We also help you answer your insurer's security questionnaire.
Which tools do you use?
We use Huntress for security software and a 24/7 security operations team that works alongside Microsoft Defender. Huntress also watches your Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace accounts for takeovers and performs staff security training.
We use Cove Data Protection for backups, 1Password for passwords, Hudu to document your network and systems, and Atera for monitoring, updates, remote support, and the support portal. We manage computers with Microsoft Intune or Google endpoint management.
What happens if we stop working together?
We hand back admin access to your systems and any documentation of your network and devices, then uninstall our tools. If you're switching to another service provider, we'll happily help with the handoff as well.
Which computers and servers does Managed IT cover?
We cover Windows computers only, since it's easier for us to provide the same tools and protections. Servers can run Windows Server or Linux. We don't cover Macs or Linux desktops.
Do you sell computers and network equipment?
Not at the moment. You'll buy hardware directly from the vendor, so you pay no markup. We'll tell you exactly what to buy, and our Managed IT plan includes setting up new computers.
Do our computers need to be new?
No, but computers and servers must be under warranty and run a supported operating system. Windows computers must run Windows 11 Pro. Network equipment only needs to stay up to date with firmware updates. If a device falls out of warranty or stops receiving updates, you have 90 days to extend or replace it before we support it at our hourly rate instead. We'll let you know if anything falls under this category.
Do we need a UniFi network?
No, we manage any business-grade network equipment that still gets firmware updates from its manufacturer. If something needs replacing, we recommend UniFi because we can manage it remotely, but you can choose what you prefer.
Do you manage servers?
Yes, our Managed IT plan covers your office server, including backups, monitoring, updates, and security software.
Do you offer HIPAA, CMMC, or SOC 2 compliance?
No, we don't handle compliance work or provide IT services for healthcare offices. We can help you complete any security questionnaires your insurer, customers, or suppliers send.
