One network for your whole business

Our network stacks consist primarily of UniFi equipment, an enterprise-class networking brand without license fees or complex interfaces. It's often likened to Apple in terms of usability, attention to detail, and intercompatibility.

Building off their stack guarantees we won't need to re-engineer your network as your business grows. Adding an access point, security camera, or second location is as simple as connecting the new equipment. And all of it is managed from a single dashboard.

Remote monitoring and incident response

Because your whole networks reports to one place, we can monitor and respond to incidents that crop up without necessarily needing to enter your building. Security updates run on a schedule after hours, so your network stays protected without interrupting your work.

We also keep a history of your network. If someone reports slow WiFi from last week, we can peek into the logs and determine the cause.

Separate networks for payments, staff, and guests

We isolate the devices on your network to reduce risk. Your POS equipment or printers have no reason to talk to a personal laptop your employee brought to work. And a customer waiting at a table should never be able to access your office computers or security system from guest WiFi.

Doing this means a compromised device doesn't propagate to your whole network.

Site-to-site and remote-access VPNs

We can set up site-to-site VPNs if you have multiple locations. This would enable you to share files, printers, phone directories, and other data as if you were in the same building. We also set up remote-access VPNs for anyone working from home. They sign in to reach your systems without your data being exposed to the public Internet.

VoIP phones

We can set up VoIP phones for your business with directories, extensions, voicemail, call routing, and greetings. For example, a caller could hear "Press 1 for booking or 2 for billing", and based on their answer the call would be routed appropriately.

Shared storage with a NAS

A NAS gives your business one shared storage solution. Instead of files saved to whichever computer or phone is being used that day, everything can live in one spot with access controls.

We support regular backups on-site and off-site so you don't have to worry about data loss.

Inheriting your network

We know many small business networks were installed by former employees or contractors who have since moved on. We're comfortable maintaining, upgrading, and doing other work on existing networks. We don't strictly require a UniFi stack.

UniFi network questions

  • What happens if the Internet goes down?

We can install a failover - a second Internet provider - that the gateway will immediately switch over to if your Internet goes down.

  • Can I access my network from my phone?

Yes. We can enable remote access that would let you access your business network without needing to be there physically.

  • Do I have to replace everything to switch to UniFi?

No. We can keep your existing equipment, progressively swap equipment to UniFi, or do a complete upgrade to UniFi equipment. Whichever works best for you. This would only be touching your network stack. Your Internet provider, the cabling, and everything else would remain as-is.

  • Will the install shut my business down for a day?

No. We either work after hours or on a day you are closed. If that is not possible, we can do a switch with minimal downtime.

  • Is UniFi worth it for a small business?

Absolutely! It's very affordable even for a small business but also highly capable, which is why it's so appealing.
